Useful Tips To Aid You In Creating A Dream Wedding

Choose a less popular month to get married if you want to save money. The traditional season for weddings is May to September. When this is going on, it will cost more to have a wedding. If you must book during this period, schedule many months in advance to save money.

Tip Wedding dresses can be quite an expense. When you are shopping, try getting a dress that might not be traditionally thought of as one made for a wedding.

After a couple decides to get married, they think about their wedding plans. Weddings are a great time to celebrate with friends and family but they take a lot of planning out. Here are some tips to make sure your wedding goes well.

Ask the members of your reception who plan to give a speech to practice them with you so you can vet their content. For example, you would want to eliminate any jokes that apply to a very specific group within your guests in order to avoid anyone feeling excluded and to make sure the speech is well-received by all who attend your wedding.

Tip Include elements that tell about you, your spouse and the relationship. Pick a wedding theme that tells the story of your relationship.

Consider your different options to find the right type of alcohol for your wedding. An open bar can be very expensive over a long time period. Ask the venue you’re thinking of having the wedding at about the different types of alcohol they serve, and what they have in stock.

Ethnic catering can help add spice to your wedding. Chicken and steak are nice but they are nothing special, so look for foods that are unique and have a special flavor to them. Variety will make things very beautiful and elegant.

Tip Try to avoid placing a lot of flowers on each table at your wedding. If you have too many flowers, they can actually become a hindrance to your guests.

Serve ethnic food at your wedding if you want to spice it up. Chicken, steak and such are served at weddings all the time. Why not do something different? Variety is the spice of life and it is sure to make your wedding dinner something to remember!

For any stylish and fashion forward bride, there is always the option to add some flare to a bouquet with a splash of diamonds, rhinestones or Swarovski crystals. This can be achieved through heat-fixed crystals, adding a little piece of jewelry or even using an heirloom piece. Use stones that are roughly the same cut, size, and color as those in your ensemble to ensure coordination.

Tip G

Add the finishing touches of decoration on all your wedding decor. For example, the bow in your hair can be the same as those used in the floral arrangements on the tables. These little details make all the difference in the effort you make in creating the perfect day.

If you wish to serve guests multiple courses, make sure they are entertained with dishes of small and sweet appetizers on each table. Sugar roses, sugar petals or even crackers will do.

Tip Consider borrowing a special piece of jewelry from a friend or family member. This “something borrowed” will enhance the way you look and feel and add a special touch to the day.

Make sure you write down your vows, this is very important and will be important for your spouse. The institution of marriage is lifelong and marked by willingness to enter into a major commitment. Make your love for your spouse-to-be crystal clear in your vows.

Many people opt for silk flowers instead of live flowers for their wedding. You can buy silk flowers well in advance to avoid the stress of getting fresh flowers a few days before the wedding.

Tip If you decide to give a wedding speech, be sure to plan and practice sufficiently. If you don’t prepare accordingly, you can lose all of your audience in mid-speech, and be forced to finish an awkward moment in front of a confused crowd.

Be sure the disc jockey you employ for your reception knows which songs you want and which sorts of songs you do not want. There is probably one song from your past that you no longer like. Just let him know beforehand so you don’t have any sad moments at your wedding.

Your plans for a wedding outside should always include a solid backup plan, in case it rains, or other unforeseen problems occur. Whether you rent some kind of rain cover, or have a location that can accommodate a quick move inside, always have a plan. Set up planks to prevent your guests from getting mud or dirt on their shoes.

Tip If you plan a destination wedding, consider your guests’ travel arrangements. Some of your guests may be planning to vacation at the same time, and you need to give them time to make plans.

Weddings take a lot of preparation; however, in the end it is worth it. This is one of the biggest celebrations you’ll have in your life, so you must make sure you have fun and enjoyment. Use the tips you learned here to create the wedding you have always dreamed of.

Gift registry is a tried-and-true wedding tradition. Gifts should not be mandatory to attend your wedding. So, set up a registry that have items of all prices so that everyone can afford to buy something that they know you will love. People need to feel comfortable gifting what they are able to afford.

Wedding Tips To Help You Make The Perfect Day!

Everyone is looking for something to help simplify their life. This definitely holds true for something as large and as complex as a wedding. The thought of planning a wedding is intimidating enough. Use the tips below, and make the planning of your wedding a little easier.

Wedding gowns can be pricey. Consider looking into dresses that are not designated as wedding dresses. A bridesmaid dress could be perfect and not as costly as a wedding dress. Remember, the dress you chose can be altered to change the styling, and the total cost will still probably be less than the cost of purchasing an official wedding dress.

Booking a venue for your wedding can be extremely expensive. If someone you know owns a large piece of property, like a farm or a place with a large backyard, you can cut down a major cost. Make sure you hire someone to set up and clean up, but even that cost will be minimal.

Try ethnic-themed catering to add some spice to your reception. Chicken, steak and other common choices are overused, so you should go with a unique menu. Ethnic foods and decor will help your reception be memorable.

Try tying small decorative items into each element in the wedding decor. For instance, the ribbon on your bouquet can go with ribbon for your hair, dress, or centerpiece. Your wedding day is special and important so you want to put in the effort for even the littlest details.

You do not have to get a wedding cake that is filled with countless calories. There are some bakers who are able to prepare delicious and beautiful cakes that are individually sized to be just enough to give someone the cake they want without the calories they do not want. You may be able to find a bakery willing to provide freshly-baked cupcakes that are low-calorie and available in healthier options for family with special dietary needs such as gluten or sugar-free.

While you should always let your DJ know what songs you want played for your reception, it is just as important to alert him to any songs you do not like or want played. It could be a special song representing “old love”, a heavy metal song, or a country song. Tell your spouse-to-be so that he knows too.

You can embellish your bouquet with tiny crystals, rhinestones or perhaps diamonds if you can afford to. You can do this by applying some crystals, costume jewelry, or maybe even an heirloom piece. To make sure that this look complements the entire look of your outfit, be sure that the colors, size, and cut are consistent.

Instead of paying for a pricey cake, look into mini-tarts or cupcakes. People love these arrangements because they don’t cost a lot, are versatile, and convenient. Guests can pick up their cupcake as they leave.

While planning a wedding might seem as though it’s unavoidably complicated, that is not the truth. Read on to find some excellent tips for simple, effective wedding planning. Hopefully, they will be of help to you on your big day.

Find Out The Things That Are Imprortant When Traveling

Taking a vacation is now easier than ever before, but many people don’t know the best ways to start planning. You will need to have quality information at your disposal though.

Tip When going to a foreign country, use ATMs to withdraw money. Many times these banks offer exchange rates that are better than individuals get.

Sign up for a travel price watcher. This is a feature that many websites provide. It lets you pick a destination and automatically watches the prices for you. When the hotel price or airfare goes down to the price you pick, the website will alert you of the change through email. This will prevent you from having to check prices every day.

Tip Once you’ve chosen your destination, take the time to get to know more about where you’re going. Make sure you have a map, and know what attractions are must-sees in the area.

Upon arrival, check your hotel room’s alarm. Make sure that the alarm is not set at a bad time. Turn the alarm off, or set it when you want to get up, if you want your vacation to start in a relaxing way.

Tip Always carry an updated color photo of your child with you. This will come in handy if they are ever lost.

Keep your most important information and items close to you at all times. If you carry a purse, you want to make sure that it is tucked under your arm securely. If it has a long enough strap, you should have the strap crossing your body. Also, pick travel bags with secured flaps that conceal zippers and pockets, so that access is not easy in crowded or dangerous areas. Remember this when shopping for the ideal travel bag.

Tip To keep traveling expense within budget, try making them as far ahead as you can. While there are lots of things you’ll want to buy while on a trip, these things have something in common.

When reserving a hotel room, ask if they’ll be doing renovations. There are few things more annoying than waking to the sound of construction equipment while you are enjoying a vacation. Just don’t book during those times.

Tip Bring a good digital camera for the vacation that you are taking. For example, if you will be camping you may want to pack additional batteries.

Find social websites that talk about travel often. Getting information and sharing experiences with fellow travelers is a great way to prepare yourself for a trip. You will make lots of new friends and learn a lot that can help you in your travels.

Tip If your travels take you through or into a small airport, check the website for that airport to see all of the airlines that offer service there. Some small airports may have charters with better deals.

Make sure your passports are up-to-date by checking the expiration date. Many countries have rules concerning passports. You may not be allowed into their country if your passport is expiring in a certain amount of time. These range from 3 to 6 months, or could even reach 8 months to a year.

Tip If you are staying in hotels, especially in countries that are less developed and you worry about a break-in at night in your room, take a doorstop along. These wedges are important if you have people coming in and out.

Look up currency rates before traveling in order to budget your expenditures. Knowing monetary values before you leave will help you create a trip itinerary that does not deplete your funds. This will help you to save some money on your trip.

Tip Always remember to tip housekeepers and bellboys. Standard tips are generally $1 for each piece of luggage, and $2-$5 for the housekeeper each day of your stay.

National Parks

Tip Bring a book of matches or a business card of your motel with you while traveling about the city. If you are venturing out around town and you get lost, you can show the card to others who can direct you to the right place.

You should get the National Parks Pass if you go to these type of parks often. The passes can be purchased for $50 and are a great deal as they cover all national parks for one full year.

Tip Bring a rain coat. You just cannot tell how the weather will turn out.

To make planning your next vacation a breeze, book your trip online. The site you book your travel through should offer sample itineraries for your convenience. Make the most of your travel budget by booking air travel, rental cars and hotels online. When using the computer, you can see both reviews and pictures of all available hotels in an instant. These sites offer fabulous deals for online trip planning, like last minute traveling discounts.

Tip Make sure your passports are up-to-date by checking the expiration date. A lot of countries have certain rules concerning passports.

Now all that’s left is to decide where you wish to travel to. Keep in mind that you should continue learning all you can about the subject of travel.

Tip If you are using traveler’s checks, cash them in before you go to shop or eat. Traveler’s checks can be a pain to work with.

Fly Fishing In Hawaii

You’re an avid fly fisher and your family has voted that this year’s trip will be to sunny Hawaii! “Sure,” you think to yourself as you quietly bemoan the fact that here are two more weeks you’ll be away from your beloved mountain stream especially when your spey casting technique is just a few throws from perfection…

Don’t forget to pack your fly fishing gear!!

Hawaii fly fishing is definitely under the radar when it comes to fly fishing destinations but those willing to give it a try will find in this unlikely place is some of the best fly fishing to be found anywhere. First off, you’ve got more choices than many locations, and access… real easy access, to spots with good prospects for near shore game fish guaranteed to strip your reel!

Fresh- and Saltwater Fishing Options

Albeit very limited, Hawaii fly fishing options do include opportunities for freshwater fishing. But, hey, you can do that at home! There are only a few rivers throughout the island chain and the streams are virtually devoid of anything large enough to take a fly. A few of the reservoirs and rivers offer some good prospects for the likes of bass, tucanare, perch, and others. You can even find a couple spots with trout. But those bodies of fresh water which offer any fishing prospects all require a license which while quite inexpensive and easy to obtain still mean an extra step, right? And, anyway, since some of these areas require a lottery or limit entry to certain times, most folks simply gravitate to the easiest fishing grounds of all, the ocean!

Requiring neither a license nor special access privileges, Hawaii’s beaches offer almost unlimited opportunities for fly fishing or any other fishing venue for that matter. And, especially suited to fly fishing are the sheltered waters of harbors, bays, and reef areas where bonefish, trevally, barracuda, and other shallow water predators patrol.

A drive around any of the islands will yield a number of spots where the bottom and water conditions will appear suitable for fly fishing and chances are if it looks good, it probably is! Unlike freshwater spots where the fish are either there or not, Hawaii’s shore fishing grounds are visited by fish which roam quite liberally and what might be a dead spot on one day could very well be a hot spot the next.

Since you from the mainland know a heck of a lot more about freshwater fishing fare than we could ever hope to learn here in the islands, this article will instead focus on Hawaii’s saltwater fly fishing prospects!

Reefs & Flats

As you travel around the islands you’ll notice a number of beach locations where the water depth is quite minimal and the bottom is a mixture of coral and an occasional patch of sand. These grounds are conducive to game like small trevallies and bonefish along with assorted goat fish, wrasses, and barracuda all of which are capable of giving you a real run for the money!

You can walk these shallows working your fly/popper into the sand pathways that you’ll notice and that fish use as trails in between the deeper and inshore waters. Remember that Hawaii fish are more inclined toward fast or erratic action and are very savvy in taking advantage of the sharp coral to cut lines and disappoint anglers.

A number of areas like those shallows that have sediment deposits from rivers would offer a less appealing bottom to the anglers but are nonetheless attractive to hungry trevallies (papio), bonefish (o’io), barracuda (kaku), and ladyfish (awa awa). All of these will give you a fight that you will remember all of your days!

If you don’t like walking in the water, areas near harbors and river mouths, breakwaters, and piers, will generally give you access to these same fish. And, if you’re really bent on success (vs. the simple enjoyment of working your line) there are a number of guides that you can hook up with who can take you out and increase your chances tremendously of getting the fly fishing tale of your life!

The deeper waters of Hawaii’s bays and harbors are also the spots for seasonal game like big-eyed scad (akule) and their juvenile siblings, halalu. When these are running close to shore, you’ll notice scores of anglers casting into congregating schools near the shore and getting a spot that will allow you some room to work your fly might be a bit tricky… but it certainly is worth trying to work the outer perimeters of the crowd in search of the roaming fish or the larger predators lurking in the hopes of preying on unsuspecting school members!

Open Ocean

Hawaii is one of those spots that also offers the opportunity for deep sea fly fishing. And although the threat of lines being cut on rocks is non-existent when you’re angling from a boat, the size of the game is really something you have to consider when presenting your stream- or river-appropriate gear. Out in the deep, should you decide on going on a charter boat, the targets are dolphin (mahimahi), tuna (aku and ahi), wahoo, sailfish, marlin, and anything else that has contributed to Hawaii’s reputation as a world-class sport fishing destination.

Just Do It!

Whatever type of fly fishing you think you might try here in Hawaii, keep in mind that unless you hook up with a guide you won’t find a lot of others, if any, on your ventures into Hawaiian waters. However, do know that there are a number of anglers who are pursuing the sport with a vigor matching the most ardent fly fishers from the shores and river banks of Alaska to the flats of Florida and everywhere in between.

Hawaii is probably the next place to explode in popularity on the fly fishing circuit as it offers serious fishing opportunities along with attractions for the rest of your family. So get out of your depression in looking for luaus and fire dancing shows and start prepping your fly fishing gear and doing some really enjoyable research.

Your trip to Hawaii might just be the biggest fly fishing experience of your life and one even most local folk have yet to discover!

What You Should Know About Having Weddings

Religion will play a big role not only in your wedding ceremony but in your marriage as a whole. Discuss religion with both your future spouse and their family members so that you can develop a strong understanding of their beliefs.

Tip Purchasing your wedding gown on the internet can be a budget saver, cutting down your costs by hundreds of dollars. Make sure to order early so you have time for alterations if any need to be made.

Whether you’re planning a wedding for yourself or someone you care about, the process can pose a challenge. This article is full of handpicked tips and tricks which will assist you in making your dream wedding into a reality.

Of course, the focus of your wedding should be on the person whom you plan to marry. Don’t rush this decision, as it alters your life like no other. Make a detailed list of the things that endear this human to you, and likewise the things that you may not appreciate so much.

Tip If you feel as though it is wasteful to pay hundreds of dollars for a cake that will have a lot left over, consider a smaller bakery to create a smaller cake that will cost less and be more personal. There are boutiques that will bake fresh cupcakes with very few calories specifically for your event, and deliver them.

Marriages between people of different faiths are common nowadays, but it helps to discuss how this will affect your marriage, in-laws and children, before you marry. Speak about religion with the person you’re engaged to and the close family members on each side so that everyone feels comfortable at the ceremony.

The music ranks up there with the videographer in terms of importance. Make sure the person you hire knows what type of music you do not want played. This is far more important than getting every tune you want to hear played, as a song from a genre you and your guests hate can kill the entire mood. Maybe it’s country music, or heavy metal, or even your “special song” from an old lover. Let the DJ know to avoid any cringe-worthy moments at your wedding!

Tip Practice walking towards a full length mirror to ensure you know how to do it, especially if you are not used to heels. If you think you might twist your ankle, wear nice flats instead.

Wedding dresses can be quite an expense. You might want to consider a dress which is not categorized specifically for the bride. Consider a bridesmaid dress, which costs less than a wedding dress but can still fit your needs. Even if you want the dress altered to change some of the styling, it could turn out to be cheaper than a wedding dress.

Instead of spending too much for a large wedding cake, opt instead for one that is comprised of multiple layers of mini tarts or sweet cupcakes. They taste great, are easy to eat and are affordable. Guests can just grab one or two cupcakes on their way out, putting them inside an embellished cardboard box.

Flower Arrangements

One detail to consider is that the venue lighting can be dimmed, if necessary. This may seem like it’s trivial, having the option to lower your lighting during the first dance will be nice, and then you can brighten it for the remainder of your event. Check with the venue about these specific options before booking anything for certain.

Tip During your wedding planning, arrange for even numbers of guests at each table. If you put people of the same age together at tables they will have more to talk about.

Too many flower arrangements on the guest tables at your reception are usually an interference and an extra unnecessary expense. Often, flowers interfere with guests being able to converse across the table. Furthermore, one or two of your guests could be allergic to certain flowers. Opt for using non-scented candles instead of flower arrangements for a romantic and luxurious look.

Provide your guests with an online itinerary of events so that everyone, including out-of-town attendees, know what they should be scheduling and planning to attend. Let people be aware of the events, such as rehearsals and the things that they must come to, so that they could be there at the appropriate time.

Tip If you would like a relative or a friend to perform your wedding ceremony, you can ask that person to become ordained via an online program. This saves you money, and makes your wedding feel more personal.

Be sure the disc jockey you employ for your reception knows which songs you want and which sorts of songs you do not want. Find a song that you enjoyed in the past. Be sure your DJ is well aware of your preferences in advance to avoid discomfort.

As an example, why not try a fusion menu with contemporary dishes that everyone enjoys? Add a twist with ethnic dessert options, drinks, or edible wedding favors.

Tip If the couple has two diverse backgrounds, try honoring both of their traditions. One background can have traditional dishes, decor, or traditions at the reception, and the other can have their traditions be a part of the actual wedding.

Don’t let the multitude of choices you have to make for things like your wedding reception, rehearsal, and ceremony overwhelm you; instead, use the advice from this article to help organize your wedding. You are sure to discover that you actually have access to bountiful resources and possibilities for a seamless event.

If you are going to have kids in your ceremony, dress them in clothing that is comfortable. Have them wear comfortable fabrics which are appropriate for the temperature, fitting snugly but loose enough to allow air to flow through. Break in new shoes first, and make sure they are comfortable. Paying attention to your children’s comfort can help them behave appropriately during the wedding. Uncomfortable children will be focused on fixing their discomfort and may fidget or engage in other distracting behavior. If your children are comfortable, however, they’ll be excited about participating in the wedding and behave appropriately.

Basic Things That Will Keep Wedding Planning Stress Free

All a wedding really needs is a minister, a bride, a groom, and love. Everything else is expectations that others have that might actually just be stressful distractions. This article will help you in remembering what is important, and will make it easier to have a happier wedding day.

It is likely that religious matters will come up from time to time during the course of your marriage. Discuss all aspects of your religion with who you plan on marrying as well as their family too, just so they are comfortable with your beliefs.

Really consider your vows, as this is one of the central parts of a wedding ceremony. Keep in mind the magnitude of the commitment that you are pledging and how each of you will be making sacrifices during your marriage. Write your vows so that they express your love for your spouse and remind you of why you love them.

Instead of spending too much for a large wedding cake, opt instead for one that is comprised of multiple layers of mini tarts or sweet cupcakes. These treats are not only affordable and convenient, but you can do many things with them. Guests can take home wonderful treats as they depart.

Perhaps enlist the help of a friend to help you to carry all your camera gear around. They can assist you in getting the family together for group shots, too!

A nice present to give to your wedding guests at a wedding in a different town is a gift basket full of vacation items that you can have sent to their room. Some useful items to include might be tourist information, sun hats, sunglasses, disposable cameras, maps of the area, sunscreen, and so on. Also make sure you include a local restaurant guide that makes it simple for them to grab a bite to eat.

See that the lighting at the reception venue has the ability to be dimmed. This may seem minor, but lighting is important to setting the mood and dimmed lights are preferable for your first dance. Before committing to the venue, ask them about this.

A colorful and unique cake can be placed on a tablecloth of complimentary fabric to turn it into a work of art that becomes a focal point. You can tie all of the elements together by choosing fabrics that have unique textures, patterns, solid prints or those made of satin, silk or velvet.

Multiple course receptions should have treats on the table for guests to consume between servings. Why not look for sugar roses that match your wedding theme.

Try to incorporate interests from both the groom and the bride when decorating. For example, if both enjoy traveling, then include little decorative touches that are reminiscent of their travels. You could also send out invitations that look like postcards or boarding passes, for instance. You could use a worn leather suitcase to display things such as your wedding program, photographs, or favors for the guest.

A wedding only truly needs a few things for success. Other aspects of a wedding are choices or options. Of course, many of these things can make you feel extravagant, but they can also add to the stress. You can’t make everyone happy so focus on pleasing yourself and your groom.

Destination Wedding Ideas

Nobody can say what it is, but as much as we like to stay away from all that’s cliched, there are some things that just never change. One of them is, having the perfect wedding. Now, whenever it comes to weddings, somehow you’ll always find two kinds of girls. One that wants the perfect fairytale wedding, and the other is the kind that would probably like to go all out and completely crazy! Well, no matter what kind of girl, the fascination for the perfect wedding will live forever. Here’s the thing though… As fine as traditional may be, doing something way out is a tad more fun. That’s exactly what destination weddings do for you… Add some flavor to the big day! But how does one decide on what some of the best places to get married are? Don’t fret if you cannot figure it out. Just keep reading, and the list of wedding destination ideas will definitely help narrow things down for you.

Wedding Ideas to Match Their Venue

Some places are always nicer than others, so let’s get started with some of the nicest wedding destinations that you could choose from.

Paris

As far from original as it may seem, you have to agree that Paris is the undisputed City of Love! There’s no possible way that the city of good food and wine could make a mess of your big day in any way. A city that is richly loaded with a zest for life, could make your wedding more memorable than you had anticipated. Apart from the “love for love”, the city will keep your guests occupied too, thanks to its rich culture. Guest can indulge in some major sight seeing, since Paris houses some of the most popular monuments and tourist attractions ever. The Eiffel Tower, Museum of Louver, Palace of Versailles, or the multitude of chateaus… If not that, some wine tasting never hurt anybody. Bottom line, no matter what your preference, there is more than enough to pick from.

Las Vegas

When talking about Las Vegas, I wouldn’t even know where to begin! Forget affordable destination, it makes for a brilliantly wild destination too. It’s almost surprising how popular a spot this one is for weddings. Right from fancy to crazy, Vegas is like that “one stop shop” for all. Now, you definitely will find some exquisite chapels in Vegas, but exquisite chapels could be found everywhere. The real question is, will you find an Elvis everywhere? There’s hardly a person who isn’t aware of this trend that is so immensely associated with Las Vegas, so if you’ve always dreamed of being married by Elvis, go on to Las Vegas. What cannot be forgotten when talking Las Vegas is the insane number of casinos. There is no doubt about the fact that choosing this one for a destination wedding will be appreciated, that you can stay assured of.

Sydney

Now, this destination is truly far out! Truth be told, it could also turn into a bit of an expensive wedding. But… It’s your big day, so enjoy it! Sydney is the largest city in Australia, and is amongst the most livable cities in the world, so why not get married there? The place is friendly, modern, and adventurous. Apart from being a brilliant choice for wedding location, there is no doubt about the fact that a wedding “Down-Under” would be just as interesting for the guests too. In addition to the popular Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, there are a number of worthwhile museums and gardens to visit. For those of you who are more into adventurous activities, turn to the Byron Bay. Snorkeling, scuba-diving, white-water rafting, trekking… There is more than you would be able to handle. And if this seems too adventurous for you, just visit the zoos, because Australia is high on its wildlife too. A wedding in Australia can truly turn into an adventurous one if you’d like it to!

Oahu

Amongst the things to love about this place is the fact that along with being a great pick, it is more affordable too. One of the most popular and vivacious islands in Hawaii, Oahu is in fact nicknamed The Gathering Place. The name alone makes this place right for a wedding! The island which is the third largest of all Hawaiian islands, Oahu is also home to Hawaii’s capital, Honolulu. In fact, if it is a destination beach wedding that you’ve always dreamed of, there is no doubt that this island is the right decision. With a myriad of beaches to choose from, this is definitely the best beach destination that could ever be thought of. While the most popular beaches would undoubtedly be Waikiki Beach, Sunset Beach, and Sandy Beach, others that you could consider would be, Waimea Bay, Kaneohe Bay, Waimanalo Beach, Banzai Beach, the Pipeline and Hanauma Bay. If the choice of beaches isn’t reason enough to pick Oahu, other attractions should be. Well-known attractions like Pearl Harbor, USS Missouri, USS Arizona Memorial, Valley of Temples Memorial Park, the North Shore, and the South Shore, better known as Waikiki, are all part of Oahu.

Jamaica

Yet another fabulous destination for a totally chill wedding is Jamaica. It’s the perfect location for a tropical wedding, and there definitely could be nothing better than this. Although you will find the basics like the sand and the surf, and palm trees, you cannot miss the fact that it is the place for all you Rastafari lovers! Crazy as it may sound, incorporating that element into a wedding will make it the best wedding a lot of people could’ve ever seen. If you aren’t quite a fan of all that Rastafarianism, keep it simple, and basic. A fancy beach wedding is a great option too. As for your family and friends, they won’t need any icing on the cake. The very idea of a Jamaican wedding will keep them pleased.

That may be a short list of suggestions, but it is made up of some of the best. If you are looking for more, other destinations worth considering could also be Bora Bora, New Zealand, Cancun, Napa Valley maybe even Thailand, or Maui. Some of the places mentioned may not quite be amongst the cheapest, but when you want a perfect wedding, it doesn’t matter how far out you go, because it will definitely seem like money well spent. After all, there is a price to pay for everything, and if that price can get you the best wedding ever, amen to that!

The 30-second spots are part of Kona Brewing’s multi-million dollar

integrated marketing campaign, “Dear Mainland,” which includes TV,

online and social elements.

Dear Mainland features the return of the larger-than-life but laid-back

Hawaiian “Bruddahs” who like to offer up humorous, but helpful,

anecdotes to common mainlander customs. Together, the Bruddahs suggest

that viewers put their boo-koo bucks careers and all-work-and-no-play

lifestyles on hold – just long enough to enjoy some of Kona Brewing

Company’s award-winning Longboard Island Lager and Big Wave Golden Ale.

“When we first launched the Dear Mainland campaign, we were blown away

by the positive response. People loved the easy-going banter and

distinct local perspective of the Bruddahs – especially since so many of

us are leading increasingly busy, multi-tasking lives,” said Cindy Wang,

director of brand marketing for Kona Brewing Co. “We’re really excited

to bring this latest installment of sage island wisdom to the mainland

again this summer and look forward to introducing more people to Kona’s

great-tasting craft beers as we expand into new markets.”

Each commercial opens with the Bruddahs addressing viewers directly with

“Dear Mainland.” From their lushly tropical base in Hawaii, they then

proceed to suggest island-style alternatives to common mainlander

customs.

To capture the spirit of Hawaii’s unique island culture, Duncan/Channon,

the award-winning independent advertising agency based in San Francisco,

shot all three spots on location in Hawaii with a local cast. The

Bruddahs are played by Kona resident Dave Bell, the aloha-shirted sage.

Ukulele player Blake “Brutus” La Benz from Honolulu, provides comedic

support with on-point facial expressions and short quips.

“The ‘Dear Mainland’ campaign resonates because it captures what’s

special about Hawaii’s spirit and unique cultural perspective,” said

Executive Creative Director, Parker Channon. “This new work builds on

the same idea, highlighting the fact that people from Hawaii understand

– maybe better than anyone – what’s truly important: family, friends and

our connection to the natural world.”

The commercials will air from May 16 through September 4 during local

Major League Baseball games in Seattle, Orlando, San Diego, and

Sacramento/San Francisco. In addition, the television schedule will

include spots airing across broadcast and cable networks in Seattle,

Orlando, and San Diego. The campaign will also include a strong digital

video push on Hulu and Spotify, and on key social platforms such as

YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

The Dear Mainland campaign debuted in 2014 with two spots. “Sad Hour”

suggested that we reserve one hour a day for the stuff we don’t like

doing so that the other 23 can be happy hours (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6WKfhj1lE0).

The second, “Single-Tasking,” introduced the concept of doing just one

thing at a time – for example, drinking a Kona Brewing beer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kf34-wXdl3k).

About Kona Brewing Co.

Kona Brewing Co. was started in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii’s Big Island in

the spring of 1994 by father and son team Cameron Healy and Spoon

Khalsa, who had a dream to create fresh, local island brews made with

spirit, passion and quality. Today, Kona is Hawaii’s largest and

favorite craft brewery, known for top-selling flagship beers Longboard

Island Lager and Big Wave Golden Ale and award-winning innovative

small-batch beers available across the Islands. The Hawaii born and

Hawaii-based craft brewery prides itself on brewing the freshest beer of

exceptional quality, closest to market. This helps to minimize its

carbon footprint by reducing shipping of raw materials, finished beer

and packaging materials.

Kona Brewing has become one of the top craft beer brands in the world,

while remaining steadfastly committed to its home market through a

strong focus on innovation, sustainability and community outreach. For

the second year in a row, the company sold more than 1 million cases of

Liquid Aloha in the Islands. To meet growing demand in Hawaii for its

beers, Kona Brewing is investing $20 million to build a new

30,000-sqaure-foot high-efficiency brewery in Kailua-Kona capable of

producing 100,000 barrels (BBLs) per year. The new brewery is scheduled

to open in 2018.
